An Orlestone Oak home is hand-built making every property a unique home.
Whether you choose our complete design, supply and construction service or use us to supply timber to your own plans, you can be sure you are building a home that will last for generations to come.
Unlike some timber framed buildings, our construction timber is hand-picked from our own sawmill. For traditional beam construction, we select trees with natural curves and shapes to complement and enhance your design. Our frames are constructed to timeless medieval designs down to the very last detail.
Traditional or contemporary designs
Orlestone Oak homes are noted for their medieval vernacular design style. However, our same construction techniques can also applied to the design of contemporary homes. Our design team can explore your own individual design ideas with you.
Your Orlestone Oak home - as individual as you
We encourage you to be personally involved in the design, construction and aftercare of your home and to foster an understanding of oak and its behaviour when used for house building.
Our home building service
Working with architects experienced in traditional oak frame construction, Orlestone Oak will design and build your home for you.
Firstly we discuss your ideas with you and offer basic advice on costing, construction, planning and building regulations. Our team can then provide initial drawings for planning approval. At a later stage, when your plans become more developed, we can offer 3D walk-through visualisations so that you can feel confident that the design is right. Architect's drawings can then be submitted for building regulations approval before commencing the frame construction.
The Orlestone mark
The Orlestone Oak mark is a sign of exceptional quality which will distinguish your home for decades, if not centuries, to come. It’s this approach that makes every Orlestone home so very special.
