Bespoke Solid Oak Doors
Orlestone Oak, Kent, manufacture hand-made oak doors using British and European kiln-dried oak. Designs and styles can be made to your specification or you can choose from a range of made-to-measure traditional and contemporary styles. Existing designs can be duplicated and existing doors can be restored using traditional carpentry techniques.
Oak door design and manufacture

Oak or other hardwood timber is hand-selected from our own stocks for each project and our craftsmen use traditional construction techniques. Oak doors can be supplied in a range of different oiled finishes.

Doors can be complemented with a range of architectural hand-made ironmongery, and we can advise on the right accessories for your style of door.

Exterior oak doors are made to the highest of standards from our own kiln-dried oak. They can be supplied with or without a frame and are crafted to ensure a solid and long-lasting door. We use thicker timber sections for our oak doors and frames than standard external door manufacturers. Our standard interior oak doors are ledge and brace, just ledged, or panel doors. We can supply you with individual oak doors, or a set of doors to enhance your home. Oak doors can be supplied with or without frames and can be finished with a variety of oils and stains. Our internal or external French doors are individually made by our craftsmen to a style to suit your home. Glazed exterior doors can provide an elegant and practical entrance to your home. All oak doors are manufactured to meet current building regulations.

Orlestone’s so
lid oak doors add beauty, solidity and distinction to any home. At Orlestone Oak we uniquely manufacture our own kiln-dried oak for our internal and external doors and frames. We hand build using traditional mortise and tenon joints and our oak door frames have thicker timber sections than our competitors. Orlestone Oak doors and door frames are hard wearing and durable. Our made to measure oak doors are available in many designs for internal and external applications including French doors.
We offer a standard range of designs from oak ledge braced to contemporary panelled doors and period curved-frame styles. Alternatively we can build to match an existing oak door design. Our service includes measuring, manufacture, fitting and finishing. 

Internal Oak Wood Doors
Styles include: Ledge and brace doors, split stable doors, carved Gothic doors, panelled oak doors, fully or partially glazed internal and external oak doors, French oak doors. Orlestone Oak can also manufacture by request other doors using soft wood and hard wood materials.

External Oak Wooden Doors
Orlestone Oak’s external solid oak doors are made to the highest of standards from our own kiln-dried oak. We use thicker than standard timber sections for our external oak doors and door frames to create a more substantial heavy duty oak door. Oak doors can be supplied with or without a frame and are traditionally crafted to ensure a solid and long-lasting door. 

External Barn and Garage Doors
Our large made-to-measure external oak doors are suitable for barns, garages, stables and workshops.

Fire protected doors
Orlestone Oak also manufacture fire-proofed panelled oak doors to customers’ specification.

Finishing and polishing oak and other wooden doors
Doors can be supplied in a range of different oiled finishes and complemented with our range of traditional ironmongery including hinges, handles, knobs, letter boxes and studs.

*Our internal ledge and brace doors are constructed with the ledges short of the edge of the door so that they do not foul the door stop. If you should require the ledges to be kept to the full width of the door, please state this at the time of your first order, and any subsequent order, as we do not retain the information.
