Giant Oak trusses

Oak framing is something that has becoming more and more popular in the last decade. oak framed houses, garages and oak feature frames are growing in demand almost by the day. It isnt surprising then that there are so many people offering these. Most of these however are very similar unlike the ones photographed below. We worked on these giant trusses following the clients vision. The giants span over 8 meters and have singles beams that weight over 1.2 tonne. The Oak trusses where made from scratch on site in the sawmill in Ashford Kent. We hand cut all the joints that are held together using mortice and tennon joints and oak dowel pegs.
